Husnabad town is located at NW latitude of 18˚16’ and longitude of 79˚17’ and SE latitude of 18˚08’ and longitude of 79˚24’ Karimnagar District. It is the Headquarters of the Mandal and is located at about 40 Kms. from Karimnagar district headquarters. It is situated on the Siddipet to Hanamkonda Road at a distance of 145 Kms. away from Hyderabad the capital of A.P. It is situated at a distance of 37 Kms. away from nearest railway Station is Karimnagar on Peddapalli to Nizamabad Railway line. It has good road communication facilities.

HISTORY:

Husnabad Grampanchayathi is constituted as Nagarapanchayathi on 08-09-2011 the town extant are is 25 Sq.Kms.

CLIMATE AND RAINFALL:

The town is situated in the temperate zone and it has a got summer and generally dry climate except during the South-West Monsoon season. The average rainfall in the town is about 742mm and the number of rain days are about 50 in an year.

ROLE OF THE TOWN:

Husnabad town is a Mandal and Headquarters. It is a III grade Municipality. Besides the usual compliment of offices of the Mandal administration of the State Government, There is a Government Degree College. There are 3 primary and upper Primary Schools and high schools. There is a Government Hospital attached with a Maternity home with a total bed strength of 30. Regarding trade and commerce there is a Agricultural Market yard helping the ryots to market their produce profitably. There are branches of State Bank of Hyderabad. State Bank of India Andhra Bank. Weekly Santha is also being held at Husnabad town on Friday where the business is carried on it general provision. Cattle business is also done in the weekly Santha, Yellamma jathara (April-May) and Sitarama Kalyanotsavam (March-April) are the festivals celebrated at the place of they are well attended And also Batukamma festival also celebrated at Yellammacheruvu with Huge gathering.

DRAINAGE:

The town has no proper drainage system. The main roads of the town are provided with side drains. In the absence of adequate drainage system and proper disposal arrangements the sullage water of the town is stagnated in many areas of the town creating mosquito menace

.TRADE AND INDUSTRY:

Husnabad can be described as commercial headquarters of the Mandal and is the biggest wholesale and retail market. It is the main trading center for the Mandals of Husnabad and also some parts of Medak District. The town have Agricultural Market yard.

INDUSTRY:

There are about 3 industrial units which include mostly rice and Oil mills. Other industries like printing presses, saw mills, engineering workshop are also located in the town.

EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES:

Primary schools, both private and Government, Government Upper Primary schools, Government High schools, Govt Junior College and a Government Degree College are available educational institutions in the town.

HEALTH AND MEDICAL FACILITIES:

The Health and Medical Institutions in the town include one Government Hospital with 30 beds and 3 other clinics and dispensaries. The average number of out patients treated in the Government General Hospital is about 200 per day. A maternity home is also attached to the Government Hospital.

INFRASTRUCTURE:

The town is not a railhead, but well connected by roads. The Inter District Highway from Warangal to Medak.. Passes through this town. Siddipet Road on the West, Hanamkonda Road on the East Karimnagar Road on North and Ramavaram Road on the West.
